Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the SportsCoachPal website and app. By creating an account, signing in or using any part of SportsCoachPal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What SportsCoachPal provides

SportsCoachPal is an AI-powered coaching assistant that helps soccer, cricket and basketball coaches create training sessions, browse a drill library, manage teams and players, plan matches, schedule sessions, and export or print plans. Features vary by plan.

3. Accounts and authentication

• You can sign up with an email address and password, or sign in using Google or Apple. Email/password accounts may need to confirm their email address before signing in.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• If you use Apple Sign In, Apple may provide a private relay email address. You are still responsible for keeping that address active if you want to receive account emails.
• Accounts are intended for users who are old enough to enter into a binding agreement in their jurisdiction. SportsCoachPal is not intended for children under 13.

4. Free, Pro and Club plans

SportsCoachPal offers a Free plan and paid Pro and Club subscriptions. Plan limits and prices are described on our Pricing page and may change from time to time.

• Free: limited AI session generations, one team and core features.
• Pro: monthly AI generation allowance, saved sessions, PDF export, team management and more.
• Club: multiple teams, multiple coaches, club roles and club-wide features.
• Founder accounts: designated accounts may receive complimentary unlimited access at our discretion.

5. Subscriptions and billing

• Paid subscriptions are billed in Australian dollars (AUD) through Stripe. Prices are shown on the Pricing page and may include GST where applicable.
• Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month; yearly subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
• If you switch between Pro and Club, or between monthly and yearly billing, we update your existing subscription and Stripe prorates the difference.
• If a payment fails, your subscription may become past due and Pro or Club features may be restricted until payment is resolved. Your data is not deleted.
• Refunds are provided only where required by law or at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use SportsCoachPal for any illegal, harmful or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without permission.
• Reverse engineer, scrape or interfere with the app's systems.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, contains malware, or is offensive or defamatory.
• Share account credentials or allow others to use your account.
• Use the AI generator to produce content that promotes violence, discrimination, harassment or dangerous activities.

7. User responsibilities

• You are responsible for the safety and welfare of the players you coach. Always review AI-generated sessions and drills to make sure they are appropriate for your players' age, ability and conditions.
• If you add player or club member information, you must have the right to do so and comply with applicable privacy laws.
• You should keep your own backups of any critical plans or data you create.

8. AI-generated content

SportsCoachPal uses AI to suggest training sessions, drills and tactical ideas. AI output is provided as a coaching aid only and may contain errors or be unsuitable for your specific situation. It is not professional coaching, medical or legal advice. You must use your own judgement and experience before running any drill or session.

9. Intellectual property

• SportsCoachPal owns the platform, code, designs, trademarks, built-in drill library and other materials we create.
• You retain ownership of the original content you create in the app, such as your team names, player notes and custom session plans. You grant us a licence to host, process and display that content so we can run the service for you.
• You may use AI-generated session content for your own coaching purposes. You may not resell or redistribute the SportsCoachPal drill library or the app's underlying content as a standalone product.

10. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if we need to protect the service or other users. You can close your account and request deletion of your data by contacting sportscoachpal@gmail.com.

11. Disclaimers

SportsCoachPal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or suitable for every coaching situation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SportsCoachPal and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD $100 if you are on the Free plan.

13. Changes to the service and terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of SportsCoachPal at any time. We may also update these Terms of Service. If we make material changes, we will post the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
